I went to Den in 76 with a good friend that I grew up with. we had seats 5 rows up, 17rows from the stage in the bleachers. Well, Ted started off the show by jumpin off a 17 ft monitor side fill stack and just rippin, and we were sitting right in front of it! He was so loud that I tore a couple of little triangles off the bottom of the program to use for ear plugs, but the first one I put in, (to my right ear,) was too small, and it fell way in. So I made another one that was bigger. Well, about three mos went by and I couldnt hear a frickin thing out of my right ear. I was sure Ted made me go deaf! So I went to the doc, he looked in my ear and pulled out a hunk of earwax about the size of a pinball. When I asked him what would cause that , He said it wsa something that got in my ear, and your body's natural defense sys, coats any weird things in there with wax, so your inner ear wont get infected. That could kill ya! so I bet the doc the cost of the visit that he'd tind a little Ted in my ear. I won. So 20 years later, I bought 10 tics, ended up with 45,  a rented a bus, 2 kegs and a cateror. I lost 300 bucks and my wife. I really wish I had that 300 bucks back! We even got the Denver cops to take a pic of 13 of us relieving ourselves on the side of Bad Co's tour bus. Bad Moose.

Texas Flood & other Thangs

When I was sick with double pneumonia at 15 years old, I listened to Stranglehold over and over again. My husband, who was then my boyfriend, brought me the album (yes, vinyl!)to cheer me up and make me feel better. Since then I have learned the words to every TED song ever...thanks to my husband who has been a fan since he was 10 years old. It made being sick easier and I got better in a hurry.

I saw Ted at the Paramount Theatre in Denver in 1987, or possibly 1988 (can't remember, was a bit of a lush back then). This piece-of-crap band called Armored Saint opened up for Ol' Gonzo, and when he finally came on, our cheers were almost as loud for Armored Saint leaving as Ted taking the stage. The Paramount is a small venue, but Ted kept the volume at "Madison Square Garden level". It was well worth it!! Rock on, Nuge, and keep up the fight for the Bill of Rights!!!

I started listening to Ted in 77. Everyone was talking about him. I was into Kiss real heavy but then i heard Ted and all my Kiss posters came down. Up went Ted. My dad's company transfered him from the small farm town south of K.C.to Portland Oregon in 1980. I was 13 and nervous my first day in a new school. When i came walkin in with my Nuge t-shirt everyone new i was "cool". Shit, I had one for every day of the week. I finally saw Ted live in 84 Penetration tour. Front fuckin row! Met him before the show. Almost had a heart attack. He told me not to buttfuck the sherriff, and signed my arm. I told him to play at 120,000 watts (K.C 1978). We hit it off better then anyone else standing there-he shook my hand about 20 times. I saw him again in 88 and once again met him after the show. Talked one on one for about 20 minutes. I was so blown away. I cried all the way home. Ted has always been there for me as long as i can remember. Helped me through when the pretty girls didn't pay attention to me, or shit was coming down at home. More to say but i think i'm ramblin, thanks for listenin. Joe.

There were about 50,000 freaked out, XXXXed off rock and roll fans trying to get into a ZZ Top concert one time about 15 years ago, in OKC State Fairgrounds Arena (the same place I caught Nuge on stage 79 0r 80). No tickets were being sold and all the action was at the front gate with lines clear out to the street. I was myself ticketless and had to get inside one way or the other! I went to the side garage door and all the dudes over there were looking for a way to get in. One guy says "hey, over here! There was a truck with a stick shift and the door unlocked. He got some help from about 15 other mofos and they pushed the truck backwards up the ramp until they figured that it was far enough to get a good try at ramming the door open where they all could get in. The first try at the door only made a crash that alerted every cop, tickettaker and usher in a five block area! The door didn't give way and they tried it again...this time they made holes on each side big enough for about three dudes to jump through...long enough to get arrested and taken away. I went around the back side of the arena and three other dudes who were up to no good also, were approaching. They checked a couple of empty ticket booth windows to see if they were open. The last one they tried was...when they were gettin ready to jump through, the lookout man of the group saw two cops coming, so they acted innocent and took off. I, took advantage of the situation after the police disappeared and opened the window and kindly dove through. It was a damn good concert in the reserved box seat area! Oh yeah. I left the window unlocked for anyone else needin to get in.

I just went to see Ted and KISS on the Farewell tour. It was AWSOME!!! He started out with Stormtroopin' and played everything to Kiss My Ass. He made a comment that I thought was pretty cool, it was "If  your guitar is made in Mexico and you can't speak english, go back to your own country!!!".  He also told Janet Reno and Oprah W. to suck his ****.  I cheered him on.

ungawa, y'all- this is where i'm comin from Nuge-i'm age 50 father/grandfather type, educated formally and real world equally, southerner with savy and an appreciation for real things, not media hype. as my native american friends say, "don't piss down my neck and tell me its raining". anyway, i guess we're kindred dinosaurs from the rocktaceous period (meat-eaters, eh.) i've followed your progress through the years musically (big fan) and have heard your outrageous ideas on the radio talk show sit in you did in texas awhile back. i knew i liked you dude!! we're on the same page, standing on the same ground my friend...no apologies offered, i assure you.  you just did the opener for kiss here in houston and you are being slammed for your insensitive remarks to the crowd (and media). you did the same thing in san antonio i am told. well hot damn...colonel travis would've been proud of you at the alamo. you are the same kind of balsy patriot as he was and it catches flak when you speak the truth. our war, however, may be lost without a shot fired due to the loss of center or orientation to the typical american. they are either ignorant or closet bitchers; either one is a problem. anyway, free speech is still a right last time i checked ted. rock on fearlessly..i am here.

Hey , listen up fans to a story about the Tedster. Playing with Damn Yankee's at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga, N.Y. My wife and I were watching Ted and the boys warm up for Bad Co. without Paul Rodgers, yeah, like that would have worked!! During what I recall was a drum solo, Ted had slipped off to stage right and had found his trusty compound bow. He , To our amazement had pointed it directly over the drummer's head. Behind the drummer was a twice than life size Saddam Hussein (spelling?) stage prop. This larger than life towel head was moving from one side of the stage to the other. Without warning, Ted had screamed "This one's for you Sara"Fucking"toga,he let the arrow rip from his bow . It flew straight over the drummer's head square into that no good sand, eating, towel head's neck!!! The crowd was stunned, silenced, then the house went bizzerk!! My wife and I Had never witnessed that sort of sportsmanship at a rock concert before. It is still unclear to me why Ted Nugent is not the head of all armed forces for this great country!!! We would have no international problems if Ted Nugent was behind the trigger!!! Can't wait to see Ted with KISS!! Thanks for listening, Wayne#33

I was in the front row at the Recent Kiss farewell tour with Ted Nugent and Skid Row... I have dreamed of seeing all of these bands since i was nine years old (and that wasnt too long ago i might add)... So my ex boyfriend finally got me tickets and after skid row left, Ted was about to play... We saw them play in San Antonio, which is a predominantly hispanic city... When he started to make all of the comments about how Mexicans came to America because Mexico doesnt know how to rock, and about how if they didnt speak english they could suck his C***, they just cheered like idiots... He just laughed when this happened, but I have to say, Ted's stage presence and his talent makes him one of the best Live shows ive ever seen... The same goes for KISS... That night was the best night of my life, not only due to Teds awesome show, but I also got a rose from Peter Criss (when he sang BETH) and my ex boyfriend caught one of  Pauls guitar picks... We are two VERY lucky motherfuckers... rock on... tobi Renee Sparks

About 2 years ago my dad brought home a Ted tape (great gonzo's) and i was like "what the hell?" Wang dang sweet poontang? weird. Now, two years later, I worship the man. Last year, senior english, Mrs Mottern-High in Twin Falls, ID asked us all who our hero was. When I stood up in front of the class and proudly said "Ted Nugent" all of the kids went "huh?" and my teacher, with a frightened look, said "WHY?!" When I explaned his political views, moral values, and accomplishments, she instantly recognized why I would choose the Motor City Madman as my hero.

I started listening to ted's music in the mid 70's. PURE ROCK...Saw my first Nugent concert in 1976, in OKC..Been loyal since..I'm 40 now..His music is still on the top of my list..One song remains in my heart..The song "Together" brings back so much memory of those mid & late 70's warm summer nights with my sweethearts & cold beer..Such a fun time..Ted just recently appeared in Houston..Caused quite a ruckus..Ted spoke his mind & feelings..As far as I'm concerned, he spoke the absolute truth. ROCK ON, TED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NEIL  Monday, April 24, 2000

I FIRST EXPERIENCED TED IN CHARLOTTE IN 77 OR 78, ITS A LITTLE HAZY. I BECAME AN INSTANT FAN. I'VE SEEN HIM WITH SOME GREAT BANDS AT SOME TRULY GREAT CONCERTS. WHEN IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT TED WOULD BE WITH KISS IN CONCERT I THOUGHT IT WAS A DREAM COME TRUE. A CHANCE TO REALLY FOR ONE NIGHT RELIVE SOME OF OUR CHILDHOOD. MY GIRLFRIEND HAD NEVER SEEN HIM IN CONCERT AND I ASSURED HER SHE WAS IN FOR A TREAT. AND SHE WAS. HE IS STILL THE MOTOR CITY MADMAN. WITH THE FLAG ISSUE GOING ON HERE IN SOUTH CAROLINA IT WAS EASY TO SEE WHAT UNCLE TED THOUGHT ABOUT THAT. HE CAME OUT WITH A BIG RED SHIRT EMBLAZONED WITH THE CONFEDERATE FLAG. ROCK ON TED. HE CALLED JESSE JACKSON A PIECE OF CRAP AND YOU CAN JUST GUESS WHAT HE SAID THE NAACP COULD KISS. THE PAPER THE NEXT DAY SAID THAT HE WASNT WELCOME BACK IN GREENVILLE AND SAID THAT HE WAS PROFANE. IMAGINE THAT.

Sunset was at his back, Migration was in his hands. There are no better special effects, Hell in those days an amp that smoked was special effects! Theodosis was leanin WAY back. Makin bird (BYRD) sound effects, didn't see even a Wah pedel on stage! As the sun slowly slipped down, Ted started turnin the air to cream cheese. The band the man were one. Trust me, at that time I'd seen 250 of the top acts of those times. Well, I,m obviously no writer, but those are times that changed me Forever! I,ll close with the Ted comment we all enjoyed. Remember when girls wore those knit stocking caps, with the 2 little fuzzies hangin down on strings about a foot and a half long? Nuge is wearin one and says "This is a polar bears ass--le, and these are his balls". He immediately jumps right into the next tune. Ted at his purest, and some of his best!  Thanks Ted, REALLY!

I saw the Nuge on the KISS Farewell Tour on March 18th, in Anaheim, CA. I have to admit, before seeing him open for KISS, I wasn't much of a fan. I only knew Stranglehold and Cat Scratch Fever, and I dug em, but I had just never really gotten into his music. Not anymore... After experiencing the magnificent glory of KISS live, with the Nuge opening, my baptism by fire has left me with an undying passion for Sweaty Teddy. His live rendition of Kiss My Ass literally changed my views towards politics. I dont think the man has ever uttered a word I havent agreed with wholeheartedly. Rock on Ted!

Stan Bryant  Saturday, April 29, 2000

Saw Uncle Ted and KISS this past Monday night, April 24th in Chattanooga, TN and they both KICKED ASS! Man it was an awesome concert. Got there late and missed Skid Row, but got there about 15 min before Uncle Ted took the stage. I always love seeing Ted in concert, this was the 5th time I had seen him.... 2nd time I've seen him with KISS, saw him with KISS one time back in the 80's. Anyway, Monday nights show was ass kickin..... Ted dedicated the song Kiss My Ass to the NAACP and Janet Reno, who he called A Big Whore! LOL It was too funny. Loved seeing him sacrifice his guitar with a flaming arrow at the end of Great White Buffalo too. Uncle Ted also stated that he has been clean and sober for 51 years now.... that's quite an accomplishment being in the business he's in. He played for about an hour and let me tell you.... it was one ass kickin hour... he burned the house down with those licks. Ahhhhh.... I LOVE UNCLE TED!!!!!!!!!!! KISS did a ass kickin show too! I sure do hate to see them retire. Oh well, I guess all good things must end sometime, but I sure do hope Uncle Ted keeps rockin til he's 100!!!!!

Tracy Camden Sunday, May 7, 2000

Saw Ted Nugent for the first time 05/03/00 on the Kiss Farewell Tour. Man he was great , he kicked ass. I could have listened to him the rest of the night, Kiss who ? I hope I get a see him again sometime, I'll be on the look out. Keep rockin Ted !

Greg Sunday, May 14, 2000

I would like to start by saying that I have seen Ted Fuckin' Nugent numerous times in concert and I have yet to find a man so consumed by his music and values. I do mean that in a good way. Ted Nugent is the embodiment of what every good American "SHOULD" be...honest, loyal to his country, willing to stand up for what he believes in, moral, a defender of the Constitution, and a great family man. I love his music and have met the man before. It is my understanding that he will be at ITCHYCOO PARK in Manchester Tennessee during the first week of August this year along with some other great American artists. Check it out, I know I will be there. Rock on all my brothers and sisters, and remember that the spirit of the wild resides in us all!!

I'm pretty young but i was listening to rock 106 and ted nugent came on. I was young and my dad says "this guy kicks ass!" They played fred bear and i was amazed. Ted's awesome.

I have always loved his music. It has provided me with countless hours of entertainment. When I was a teenager, politics were as important to me as tits on a boar. I've grown up since then. Tits on a boar are still worthless (some things never change), but I now know how important (and dangerous) politics can be. Every time Ted opens his mouth my respect for him grows exponentially! There are are not enough Teds in this world, I think he should consider having himself cloned so that we could have a fairer distribution of Ted!Send the first dozen or so to Washington State, this place is sorely lacking.Keep it up and Rock on!!

For: Ted Nugent:

I'll make this as brief, yet correct, as possible. A freelance writer, along with other interests, I have followed the well-publicized controvery surrounding GUNS and GUN CONTROL. Below is a "letter" I submitted to severial publications. It has not yet been published; however, that does not mean it will not get published. Being that you are a strong advocate for the rights afforded American citizens by the Amendments to the Constitution to the United Sates--Second Amendment, specifically--I feel correct to forward this "letter to you. Too, I am a friend and neighbor of Lonnie Mack (Yeah, "The 'Memphis' Man"). Currently, I am collaborating with Lonnie on a biography of his illustrious life and music career--what a ride! a free-spirited, roadhouse, rockin' good time, it is, indeed! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the letter below. "Thank,"

Mike Vinson

Letter to the Editor:

Lately, those notorious villains, GUNS, have been targeted and attacked because of an alleged wrongdoing, specifically: the numerous deaths caused by guns ending up in the wrong hands--and emphasis should be placed on "wrong hands." Recent events such as the Million Mom March, held in Washington D.C., aimed at persuading Congress to enact tougher gun laws, speak loudly for a large percentage of a concerned America. True enough, guns play a major role in so many of today's needless deaths, especially those involving our youth, a grim reminder being the one-year anniversary of the Columbine High School tragedy. A noble argument is that the availability and accessibility of guns (lax gun laws) are at the core of the problem. However, is it not morally logical to consider that we, everyone from the red-blooded working class to the Bluebloods of Capitol Hill, are conveniently dodging what could be the real problem: the general environment today's youth are forced to develop in. Given the current economical situation, impossible medical costs, bankruptcies, families losing their homes, etc., America has become a victim of its own evolution. As opposed to times long gone, when the mother stayed home and raised the children, today's economy demands that both parents punch a time clock. Plain and simple: Today's youth do not receive the guidance afforded prior generations. Too, today's educator is afraid to discipline today's student. Why? Because there is always the threat of being sued by some money-hungry parent, the child's welfare irrelevant--capital gain totally relevant! However, a flip-flop possibility that must be entertained is that these sue-happy parents are merely by-products of America's mentioned economical woes, the proverbial "Catch-22," if you please. My accolades and heart go out to all you "Mothers Against Guns," but no gun ever pulled its own trigger, at least, that I am aware of. Although it would have an effect, strict gun control will not cure the problem, rather, quite possibly, open a window of opportunity for the Black-Market dealers, under the direct command of the Wicked One, ever lurking in the shadows and more than capable of picking up right where strict gun control left off. Concerning our war with guns and violence, the most effective counter tactic is to follow the advice of the rock group Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and "Teach your children well. . . ."

I seen Ted 2 days ago at the gorge,in George Wash. He was with KISS, but I only went to see Ted. I like KISS, but I've wanted to see Ted since I was 14. I'm 27 now and the concert was KICK ASS. I smuggled my Nikon in to our 15th row seat, and took all 48 pictures of Ted, I didn't even save one for KISS. My uncle got me into Ted when I was about 12. I grew up with a gun in one hand and a fishing pole in the other, and I play the guitar (a little)Teds been a real hero of mine for years. If he ever wants a hunting partner in Washington, he's got one.
